Jo Condon
Founder, Clinical lead & Director
Jo Condon founded Jo Condon Autism Assessments in response to the growing need for high-quality, ethical private autism assessments in the UK.
Jo’s career supporting autistic people spans more than a decade. She began her work in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), where she developed a particular interest in autism assessment and support. Her career progressed into senior leadership roles, managing CAMHS services across the region and delivering diagnostic assessments and autism training.
In 2008, Jo left CAMHS to support the implementation of the world’s first Autism Strategy, launched in Wales. She later became the National Autism Lead for Wales. Jo led a small National team and developed countless training programmes and resources, aimed at developing acceptance and understanding for autistic children and adults. The training she created included whole school awareness raising programmes such as ‘Learning About Autism’, which have been accessed by tens of thousands of people.
Jo has extensive experience in autism assessment across children and adults, with a particular interest in late diagnosis and more subtle presentations of autism. Her work is grounded in clinical rigour, compassion and deep respect for individual experience.
As Clinical Lead, Jo remains closely involved in maintaining high standards across all assessments.
